Comment on Wikipedia Text: Miraculous formation
. . . in referece to the wikipedia text,
Miraculous formation
it is fair to say that most serious shroud researchers discount miraculous explanations or argue that they are beyond scientific examination.
This treatment in Wikipedia over simplifies. For instance, while some argue that the image may have been formed by radiation, because of the "certain x-ray-like impressions," they do not a priori assume that the source of the radiation is miraculous. Even so, it is hard to imagine a non-miraculous source for radiation.
Skeptics, while they do reject them out of hand, often exagerate acceptance of miraculous explanations by believers in authenticity in order to use ridicule as an ad hominum argument.
